Members of the research team, Prof Bill Sloan, Prof Cindy Smith, Dr  Siming You and Dinesh Bhandari attended the 3rd International Joint Conference on Water Distribution System Analysis (WDSA) and Computing and Control for the Water Industry (CCWI).

The conference was held at the University of Ferrara, Italy, with the theme of exchanging research, developments, and experiences related to hydraulic infrastructure and the urban water cycle.

Over 200 attendees participated in the conference, presenting their work on design, analysis, and modeling of water distribution systems; water distribution network planning and management; water demand modeling and forecasting; leak and burst management; intermittent systems; transient flow; urban water systems in emergencies; irrigation systems; water quality; and sustainable urban water systems.

The conference concluded with social events held at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara.
