Dr. Sperling presents results at invited talk at Photonics West 2024 and helps host a networking event on environmental sensing

Dr. Justin Sperling gave an invited talk entitled ‘Plasmonic tastebuds for the optical assessment of drinking water’ as part of the Optical Fibers and Sensors for Medical Diagnostics, Treatment, and Environmental Applications during SPIE BiOS 2024 in San Francisco. The talk focused on his most recent publication as part of the Decentralise Water Technologies project.

Congratulations to Dr Baptiste Poursat for being awarded an Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Grant.

Dr Baptiste Poursat was awarded an IAA led by RA grant of £20,000, in collaboration with Scottish Water and SepSolve Analytical. The project is entitled “Translating volatilome-based biomarkers from biomedical disease detection to environmental biotechnology system monitoring” and aims to develop a new volatile organic compounds (VOCs) based analytical method to detect early warning indicator
